It’s been a week!
Have you ever had one of those?
A week when things are stressful & chaotic.
When you need wisdom that you just don’t have.
When you know that the very next thing that is problematic or worrisome is going to make you lose your cool.
When tears of frustration are right at the surface.
Maybe it's a medical diagnosis.
Maybe it’s the overwhelm of a busy schedule.
Maybe it’s a broken relationship.
Maybe it’s unpaid bills that are piling up.
Maybe, it’s just life. Because life can be like that sometimes.
We sang a song in our worship service this morning that has stayed with me. Specifically, these three lines:
“Who walks on the waters
Who speaks to the sea
Who stands in the fire beside me” (Jesus-Chris Tomlin, Sparrow Records 2016)
And after the questions comes the answer.
Jesus
The very same Jesus who walked on the water is still performing miracles for us!
The very same Jesus who calmed the seas for the disciples is still speaking peace to our restless spirits!
The very same deliverer who was in the fiery furnace with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego is still standing beside us as we walk through the most impossible of situations!
Be encouraged, friends.
Jesus sees us. He loves us. He is walking through the storms and the fire with us.
Whatever this week brings our way, He is with us.
Lean into Him.
